Co-Chairs Added to Issue Study Group

Many of you are aware that I have asked Paula Arnold to chair an issues study group as part of our consideration of a possible mayoral candidacy next year. I am pleased to announce that Senfronia Thompson, James Rodriguez and Jessica Colón have agreed to join Paula in chairing the issues study group.

Representative Thompson has served as a State Representative from

northeast Houston for over 30 years. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the issues facing our City, especially those which interface with the State.

James Rodriguez was recently elected to Houston City Council after previously having served as chief of staff in a Council office. James and his wife, Wendy, are homeowners in Garden Villas. James' input will be invaluable in issues relating to neighborhood development and protection.

Jessica Colón currently serves as the national chair of the Young Republicans. She has been actively involved in national and local issues with career and professional expertise in real estate, corporate communications and media relations.

These co-chairs will be conducting meetings throughout the fall to discuss the critical issues which our community must address in the future. We will especially be looking at crime, traffic congestion, neighborhood development and protection and quality of life. We would love to have your input and participation.
